My name is Naomi Ruth Boddy and I was born in Stonington, Colorado on May 14, 1921.

Before I turned three years old, the family moved to Denver, Colorado. I attended and graduated from Barnum Elementary School and West High school (1939). During the war years I worked at a Dow Chemical plant which made bullets. I was a Time Keeper.

After the war was over, I attended Anderson College in Anderson, Indiana for two years. Then I attended and graduated from the western campus of Louise Salinger School of Dress Design in San Francisco, California. I enjoyed several years working as a dress designer in a San Francisco "blouse house", The Lorelie Company, and was rewarded by having some of my designs copied by manufacturing houses up and down the street. Most manufacturing houses do not hire dress designers. They fill their lines with basics or proven designs which they copy. Later, in Denver, Colorado, I designed dresses at a leisure manufacturing house where I created designs for patio living.

I moved back to Denver in 1963. There I met and married Jim Watson, a Geophysicist for Carter Oil Company. Soon after marriage we moved to Durango, Colorado. After two girls, Carol and Janet were born, Jim was promoted to Head Geophysicist in Jackson, Mississippi, and we went to live there for four years. We made the move in the month of August with two crying babies, both still in diapers. The hottest it ever got in Durango, was the coolest that Jackson could provide.

This was the time of Barbie Dolls. I, with some other women, put on a Barbie Style show using about 35 (donated for the show) dolls. Our daughters had a great time. Then we moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. Shortly after buying the house, Jim accepted a tour of duty overseas in Bordeaux, France. We sold the house because one never knows where the company will send them when that tour is over.

In Bordeaux,I continued my dress designing interest by studying costumes at the many beautiful museums. After that tour, we went back to New Orleans, built another house and lived in it 13 days when the offer came to go to England. Naturally we accepted. He was in charge of the North Sea Exploration for Esso. I continued my fashion studies at the London museums.

We returned to Houston, TX, where I created and published a cookbook STOP DIETING, BEGIN LOSING with GOURMET MAGIC. This was an unusual cook book because in every recipe I had counted the calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates and cholesterol. During the next four years, I sold 4 thousand books mainly via television interviews and area book stores.

In recent years, I have beening writing a book to help children learn how to manifest their dreams. In so doing, I decided to create my own website. In 2005, I took classes to create my own website called www.geniemagic.com, along with the help of my daughter Jan Stafford, who is a graphic designer. We took a class in DreamWeaver together. I am still learning DreamWeaver and am working on it every day, as working at projects like these keep a person young.
